Since 2015 – well before the Covid-19 pandemic made remote events a necessity – Spinach Pie Productions has been designing and hosting live streamed events. In 2020, we made the leap into producing entirely virtual live streamed events as well. Check out some of the clips here to see the kind of quality event that’s possible when you have seasoned, experienced professional engineers handling the technical end of these events.
Prospect Park’s Virtual Gala
Prospect Park is the most beautiful place in Brooklyn! As it always has, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Prospect Park plays a crucial role for Brooklyn residents to get fresh air, find community, and get exercise. We had the privilege of working with Prospect Park Alliance to produce their annual gala, virtually. The event included appearances from Prospect Park staff and celebrity guests which made for a really special evening.
JewBelong Virtual Seder
Passover is one of the most celebrated holidays in the Jewish tradition, drawing millions of families and communities together for a Passover Seder. When the COVID-19 pandemic made traditional gatherings difficult, we worked alongside JewBelong to facilitate their first ever virtual Seder which included live segments, live music, pre-recorded videos and animation. The Virtual Seder attracted thousands of viewers and an enthusiastic audience on Youtube.
Google Code Jam
We were brought in as the Lead Producer for video of this major coding competition. We turned conference rooms into fully-functional production studios and high-tech control rooms, and customized the technology for a large event space — combining 9 camera feeds, 15 on-screen talent, animated graphic overlays, and pre-recorded video playback for a multi-hour live webcast watched by over 50,000 people.
“We contracted SPP to host our first virtual High School Graduation. They walked us through every step of the process, were patient with us, and were always available to respond to our questions. Their support and professionalism paved the way for the seamless preparation of our staff and students for the event. They supported us in adjusting and editing our video contributions, coached us on how to frame the videos for our live speaking roles, and dealt with a constantly evolving situation.
The day of the event was amazing. With all of the preparation and technical aspects handled, we spent our time enjoying the moment, not worrying about how it would all come together. The graduation looked amazing. Although it was virtual, thanks to the SPP team I know that our scholars had a graduation ceremony they will never forget.”
