Live Streaming

Even before the Covid-19 pandemic made remote events a necessity, Spinach Pie Productions has been designing and hosting live streaming events since 2015, and in 2020 made the leap into virtual live streaming as well. Check out some of the clips here to see the kind of quality event that’s possible when you have seasoned, experienced professional engineers handling the technical end of these events.

Sparkhouse Virtual Event

SparkHouse teaches creative writing to high schoolers, and celebrates at the end of each semester with a huge celebration to reward the students for the hard work they put in and to share their work publicly. We helped Sparkhouse transition their culminating event to a fully virtual show on Facebook Live, featuring a live DJ and guest poets and brought thousands of views and comments to these incredible student artists.

JewBelong Virtual Seder

Passover is one of the most celebrated holidays in the Jewish tradition, drawing millions of families and communities together for a Passover Seder. When the COVID-19 pandemic made traditional gatherings difficult, we helped JewBelong facilitate their first ever virtual Seder which included live segments, live music, pre-recorded videos and animation. The Virtual Seder attracted thousands of viewers and an enthusiastic audience on Youtube.

Google Code Jam

We were brought in as the Lead Producer for video of this major coding competition. We turned conference rooms into fully-functional production studios and high-tech control rooms, and customized the technology for a large event space — combining 9 camera feeds, 15 on-screen talent, animated graphic overlays, and pre-recorded video playback for a multi-hour live webcast watched by over 50,000 people.

“We contracted Spinach Pie to host our first virtual High School Graduation. They walked us through every step of the process, were patient with us, and always available to respond to our questions. Their support and professionalism paved the way for the seamless preparation of our staff and students for the event. They supported us in adjusting and editing our video contributions, coached us on how to frame the videos for our live speaking roles, and dealt with a constantly evolving situation.

The day of the event was amazing. With all of the preparation and technical aspects handled, we spent our time enjoying the moment, not worrying about how it would all come together. The graduation looked amazing. Although it was virtual, thanks to Josh and his team I know that our scholars had a graduation ceremony they will never forget.”
